How AI Is Changing the Car You Drive
Cars today carry more computing power than many laptops. Much of it is used to make driving safer and more convenient.
Driver assistance systems
Cameras and radar feed data to AI models that detect lanes, vehicles and pedestrians. The car can then warn you or brake on its own.
Smarter infotainment
Voice assistants now understand natural speech, so you can ask for directions or change the temperature without touching a screen.
Predictive maintenance
Sensors track how parts are behaving. AI can flag a battery or brake pad that is wearing early, before it becomes a breakdown.
What about self-driving?
Fully driverless cars remain limited to specific areas and conditions. For now, AI works best as a careful co-pilot, with the driver still responsible.
