Monsoon Riding Tips: Stay Safe on Wet Roads
Rain changes how a bike behaves. Adjust your riding and your bike before the first heavy shower.
Check your tyres
Worn tyres lose grip quickly on wet tarmac. Make sure the tread depth is healthy and the pressure is correct.
Ride smoothly
Brake early, use gentle throttle and avoid sudden lean angles. Smooth inputs keep the tyres planted.
Watch the surface
Painted lines, metal covers and oily patches become very slippery when wet. Cross them upright and without braking.
After the ride
Wash off mud, dry the chain and lubricate it. This prevents rust and keeps the drivetrain healthy.
